Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1- This course presents an overview of the causes of crime and criminal behavior from the theoretical and practical perspective. The course will present a balanced perspective including the academic and pragmatic application of criminal theory and practice in relation to public policy. The course is designed for the student to read the material, listen to lectures, participate in class discussions, and to form opinions and draw conclusions as to the nature and causation of criminal behavior.
