Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Demonstrate knowledge of the basic elements of music as well as melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, dynamics and orchestration. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of musical styles. 3. Demonstrate knowledge of major composers from the various periods of music. 4. Demonstrate knowledge of musical form. 5. Demonstrate knowledge of the outside influences on composers.
