Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Navigate through various software menus using Medical Office Simulation Software. 2. Understand the relationship of the guarantor to the patient 3. Understand the purpose and functions of practice management software 4. Create an account in Medical Office Simulation Software 5. Schedule a patient appointment in Medical Office Simulation Software. 6. Understand CPT procedure codes and ICD9 diagnosis codes 7. Post procedure and diagnosis codes on a patient’s account following an office and hospital visit. 8. Do a billing routine and understand of insurance billing 9. Post payments on an account (both private pay as well as insurance payment) 10. Understand account collection (communication verbal and written) 11.
