Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Know what grape varietals are produced in Oregon. 2. Understand how wine and food complement each other. 3. Demonstrate a knowledge of wine blending techniques. 4. Identify the wine producing (appellations) of Oregon. 5. Understand the wine is made. 6. The taste factors of wine. 7. Understand the unique micro-climates in the Southern Willamette Valley and how terroir creates a wonderful environment for growing pinot noir grapes.
