Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Create a personal definition of both academic and personal Success 2- Identify personal role in creating success 3- Understand difference between internal and external motivation and how to create and maintain motivation 4- Set clear achievable goals that they are willing to commit to 5- Understand key tools used in self management including; acting with purpose, calendaring, action plans, tracking forms, staying focused/persistent, and use of a reward system 6- Interdependence and Identify the role interdependence plays in creating success 7- Develop a personal support network 8- Effectively use active listening to build relationships 9- Define assertiveness and use it in setting healthy boundaries 10- Define personal scripts & create new more empowering scripts used in creating success
