Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. For each style and period, identify from slides presented: Major art works by date, artist, style, and period (works included in the monument list), Major artists, Major art movements 2. For each style and period, contrast and compare through short essays: Works of different artists, styles and periods, Social and political implications of major art works, styles and movements. 3. For each style and period, identify and analyze stylistically “unknown” works (i.e., works not included on the Monument List or in the text) by major artists.
