Learning Objectives: 1- Upon completion of this course, the studnet will: 2- Define and describe how a traumatized brain processes information. 3- Develop techniques for overcoming learning disruptions in order to apply these techniques to manage and work through personal experiences of trauma. 4- Explore multicultural, gender, class and historical perspectives on trauma, interpersonal disconnection and disruptions in learning. 5- Articulate and devise strategies for self-leadership and advocacy with faculty for trauma-aware approaches to learning.
