institutions in the historical context of gender, ethnic, and race relations in the United States .
• Critically evaluate the goals and functional roles of law enforcement, the courts, and corrections as they apply to society and society's
official response to crime.
• Explain the requirements for entrance into the most common criminal justice careers.
