Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Be able to define Web 2.0 and discuss why it is an important trend in the development of the internet 2. Be able to participate in online communities using Web 2.0 applications 3. Know how to find information efficiently and effectively, using an appropriate (online and traditional) research tools and search strategies 4. Be able to create user-generated content in blogs, and define “Blogosphere” and the concept of “citizen journalism” 5. Be able to explain “Social Networking and Social Media” addressing factors such as “digital rights management” and intellectual property rights 6. Have created a personal Web 2.0 portfolio 7.
