Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Define Graphic Design and describe major areas of the industry. 2. Describe the major industries that utilize graphic design services. 3. Present the basic history of graphic design and cite the field’s major influences. 4. Identify the key vocabulary associated with the field. 5. Describe the skill, education and experience required for employment in the field as well as the pros and cons of the career. 6. Discuss the typical progression of a graphic design assignment from concept to completion. 7.
