Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Access resources on the internet/world wide web using effective search algorithms and accessing the most appropriate resource. 2. Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and terminology that define computer information systems. 3. Analyze and describe the form and function of computer information systems in organizations. 4. Describe the roles of information technology professionals in organizations and the associated skills and knowledge required for those positions. 5. Identify professional development resources available to information technology professionals. 6. Use critical thinking skills to identify and discuss ethical issues confronted by information technology professionals as well as ethical issues created by the introduction of information technology.
