Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand what accounting information systems are, what they are intended to accomplish, how they are used in business and in E-Commerce 2. Have a basic understanding of accounting input/output and communication of accounting data 3. Understand the importance of accounting procedures documentation and different documentation tools 4. Understand the fundamentals of the accounting transaction process, collection and reporting of accounting information and transaction processing cycles 5. Understand, apply and build accounting internal controls using cost-benefit analysis 6.
