Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Identify specific art objects and architecture as created by a particular culture. 2. Identify particular mythical and cultural significance as related to specific objects and architecture of various cultures. 3. Identify particular gender roles and personal identity as related to specific objects of various cultures. 4. Identify the connection of various elements of the land/environment to specific objects of various cultures. 5. Understand the diversity of art forms and the diversity of cultures that produced the art. 6. Deconstruct personal prejudice, bias or belief that there is a single group of people called “Native Americans”, or a specific kind of “Native American” art. 7. Identify the various materials from which the objects or architecture was made. 8. Identify specific historical time periods during which objects and architecture were created. 9.
