Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to: 1- Describe, construct and analyze common linear op-amp circuits. Describe the effects of negative feedback. Describe the operation and characteristics of differential and instrumentation amplifiers. 2- Describe the operation of A/D and D/A converters. Describe the five basic filter responses and the differences between passive and active filters. 3- Determine the trip points and hysteresis of IC comparators. 4- Describe and analyze the operation of sinusoidal oscillators. Describe the modes of operation of the 555 timer. 5- Describe the operation and characteristics of IC voltage regulators.
