Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Expose, process and mount dental radiographs using a variety of film holding devices. 2. Expose, scan and arrange indirect digital radiographs in the appropriate manner. 3. Expose direct digital radiographs 4. Utilize the Eaglesoft Software to document radiographic data. 5. Perform quality assurance procedures involved with film processors in the darkroom. 6. Be competent in the maintenance of the dental processors. 7. Be competent in maintaining aseptic techniques needed in the processing of dental radiographs. 8. Be competent in maintaining aseptic techniques while obtaining radiographs. 9. Be competent in locating normal radiographic anatomy and landmarks. 10. Be competent in duplicating radiographs. 11. Be competent in mounting a Full Mouth Survey of radiographs in 5 minutes. 12. Be competent in Radiographic Record Keeping. 13. Possess the ability to obtain third molar, vertical bitewing and occlusal projections. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
