Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand terminology and general principles of instruction 2. Become acquainted with factors that research identifies with effective instruction 3. Understand the difference between declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge and how to teach each type 4. Provide effective communication with students and parents and professionals to improve student achievement 5. Develop recognition of student differences and effective approaches to deal with classroom instruction 6.
