FA 231 - Multimedia Authoring
Associated Term: Spring 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Effectively design and apply human factors issues to multimedia development. 2. Explain the significance of multimedia authoring and its application. 3. Utilize Lingo as an authoring language for multimedia programs. 4. Apply logical thinking techniques to any multimedia authoring environment. 5. Identify and explain basic multimedia authoring syntax and heuristics. 6. Design an 7. Effective interactive multimedia program using Macromedia Director and the Lingo authoring language. 8. Write script handlers that effectively incorporate digital video, sound, graphics and animation 9. Troubleshoot and debug Lingo scripts. 10. Write reusable modular scripts. 11. Identify appropriate multimedia applications requiring scripting. 12. Apply effective authoring and problem solving skills pertinent to multimedia production. 13. Effectively utilize message passing and handler placement in the implementation of a multimedia program.
