Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Demonstrate an ability to identify specific features of rapids and hazards. 2. Demonstrate proper use of rafting and river running equipment. 3. Understand and demonstrate effective paddling skills. 4. Understand and demonstrate proper safety awareness and basic rescue skills. 5. Understand the terminology related to rafting and river running. 6. Demonstrate basic raft “paddle-captain” skills. 7.
