MTH 060 - Beginning Algebra |
Prerequisite: MTH 020 completed with a grade of “C-“ or better within the past two years or placement by the College's Math Placement Process. This is the first term of a two-term sequence in introductory algebra. Topics include a selective review of arithmetic, tables and graphs, signed numbers, problem solving, linear equations, linear inequalities, ratio and proportion, and unit analysis. MTH 060 prepares students for Elementary Algebra, MTH 065. MTH 060 and MTH 065 provide a two-term sequence preparatory to Intermediate Algebra, MTH 095.
