MTH 097 - Geometry |
Prerequisite: MTH 095, MTH 111, or equivalent course completed with a grade of "C-" or better within the past two years or placement by the College's Math Placement Process. A course in informal geometry covering the study of lines, planes, polygons, circles, solids, area, perimeter, volume, surface area, Pythagorean Theorem, congruence, and similar figures. Applications and exploration of geometry topics rather than proofs will be stressed. This course is the geometry prerequisite for MTH 112, 231, and 251. MTH 097 is strongly recommended for MTH 111.
