CJA 212 - Criminal Justice Documentation and Reporting |
Prerequisite: Successful completion of WR 121 or WR 121_H or instructor consent. An overview of criminal justice documentation with an emphasis on written documentation methods and products. It will provide students with the information and basic skills necessary to write accurate and effective reports, affidavits, memoranda, and other documents specific to the criminal justice profession. Topics include legal requirements, criminal justice-specific writing conventions and terminology, and documentation and reporting strategies.
