ENGR 213 - Strength of Materials |
Prerequisite: ENGR 211 and MTH 252, both completed with a minimum grade of "C-" or better within the past two years. Course presents theory of stress and strain, shear, bending, torsion and combined stresses, temperature-induced stresses, and elements of indeterminate analysis. Additional topics include axially loaded members, thin-walled pressure vessels, torsional and flexural loading, failure theory and column buckling.
