BI 103J - General Biology: Forest Ecology |
Basic ecological processes and interrelationships and their
importance to humans will be explored. Clear-cutting and
other methods of forest cutting as an ecological issue will
be examined. Identification of major trees and shrubs
through extensive field work will increase the student's
awareness of ecosystems. Old Growth forest ecosystems will
also be explored. Note: This course was previously offered
as BI 101A General Biology Forest Ecology. A student who has
taken this class under the previous number may not take it
again under this new number and receive credit. Field trips
required.
