Prerequisite: Within the past two years completed MTH 112 or equivalent course with a grade of "C-" or better or passed a placement test through the Testing Office. First course in a two-term sequence transferable to the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Topics include formal logic, methods of proof, sequences, recursion and mathematical induction. Also included are combinatorics, set and graph theory and trees. The order of the topics may vary with instructor and text.
