MUS 119 - Music Technology MIDI/Audio 2 |
This course provides the student with an opportunity,
through group instruction and hands-on experience, to study
advanced techniques in the field of music technology in a
comprehensive MIDI/audio studio. Students will learn
advanced applications of synthesizers, professional sound
recording/editing software, MIDI networking, MIDI
sequencing, digital effects and both analog and digital
mixing. In addition, students will gain experience in
syncing sound and music to digital movies. Students will
also have the opportunity to work with many audio formats
such as AIFF, SDII, WAV, and MP3 as they work on their sound
event projects. Students will work in the studio a minimum
of 3 hours outside of class.
