Study of the physical, social-emotional, and intellectual
development of the child birth through adolescence. Some
emphasis on prenatal influences. A survey of various
child-study approaches. Instruction and experience in
observing and recording the behavior of young children.
Study of adult-child differences, value of play, and
discipline. Early Childhood Education majors must contact
the instructor before registering for this course. May be
offered through Distance Learning.
