GS 147 - Oceanography
This is an introductory course in oceanography and marine biology. It provides an overview of the basic physical, chemical, and biological processes that occur in the world's oceans. Topics presented include life in the intertidal zone, plate tectonics, marine mammals, pollution of the marine environment, and many others. A fourth credit may be earned by doing laboratory exercises designed for completion at home. Available through Distance Learning.
