ENGR 101 - Engineering Orientation |
An introduction to engineering, its evolution, ethics, and
methods. An overview of various engineering disciplines and
curriculum requirements, an introduction to a variety of
modeling and analysis methods, written and oral
communication activities, discussion of professional ethics
and social implications of engineering work. The course
include visits by guest speakers, possible field trips,
introductory activities on measurement methods, data
collection, use of electronic spreadsheets and the internet,
possible group projects and/or oral and written reports.
