Operation, diagnosing, testing, and repair of heavy
equipment chassis and power trains. Technical information
and shop projects to apply and understand theories and
principles include: frames; suspensions; conventional
steering systems; track-type undercarriages; final drives
and steering mechanisms; clutches; standard transmission; on
and off highway automatic transmissions; drive lines;
front- and rear-drive units carriers; heavy duty tires,
wheels, and rims; and wheel hubs, dead and live axles of
"on" and "off" highway diesel equipment.
