BI 231 - Human Anatomy & Physiology 1
Study of anatomical models, selected dissections, and appropriate multimedia technologies supplement the instruction. This first course includes an introduction to human body organization and the functional role of cells and tissues. Microscopic techniques are an integral part of this study. Body systems presented are integumentary, skeletal, articular, and muscular as well as introduction to nervous system. Scheduled class time is divided between lecture, laboratory, and discussion. The BI 231, 232, and 233 courses provide basic information needed by pre-health professionals and are both required and accepted by Lane's Family and Health Careers programs. These credits are generally accepted and transferable to other academic institutions
