ART 115 - Basic Design: Fundamentals |
A beginning course in two-dimensional design for the art and
non-art major with no previous training in studio art.
Emphasis on understanding fundamental two dimensional visual
elements; composition, value etc. which are the basis for
the disciplines like painting, graphic design and other 2 or
3-dimensional media. Strongly recommended for art majors in
their first year. It is preferable to take this course
prior to Color Theory ART 116 or take concurrently with
Introduction to Visual Arts ART 101 and Introduction to
Drawing ART 131.
