SPAN 201 - Spanish, Second-Year |
Prerequisite: Credit level SPAN 103 minimum grade of C-, or an equivalent or placement by instructor. SPAN 201 is the first course of a three-term sequence (SPAN 201-202-203) designed to provide one full year of college level transfer courses at the intermediate (second year) level. Each course is conducted in Spanish and they must be taken in sequence. SPAN 201-202-203 builds on Spanish language skills acquired through the beginning, first year sequence (SPAN 101-102-103) and expands upon them to develop student skills at an intermediate language level. These courses are five skill courses with emphasis on reading, writing, listening and speaking of Spanish, and on learning about Spanish-speaking cultures. Tests are administered outside of class hours. The text for this course includes an online workbook component.
