Prerequisites: BT 108 (formerly BT 180) and WR 121. Introduction to communication theory and all forms of communication. Introduction to appropriate formatting of business documents. Emphasis in writing direct, indirect, and persuasive letters, and research and production of a formal report using word processing software. Emphasis is on grammar, formatting, tone, effectiveness, and overall mailability. Students will give business-related presentations that inform, recommend, and train. Students will be introduced to business presentation software and will use the software when giving presentations. May be offered online.
