| RT 244 - Principles of Mechanical Ventilation |

Prerequisite: RT 110 (minimum passing grade C-) or consent of instructor.
Emphasis is on the function of mechanical ventilation equipment. Content includes current indications, contraindications and hazards of modes of continuous mechanical ventilation. Advanced ventilator monitoring techniques, analysis of ventilator waveforms, and problem-solving algorithms presented.
