Prerequisite: MTH 112 completed with a grade of “C-“ or better within the past two years or placement test. First course in a two-term sequence transferable to the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Topics include formal logic, methods of proof, sequences, recursion and mathematical induction. Also included are combinatorics, set and graph theory and trees. The order of the topics may vary with instructor and text.
