HO 101 - Introduction to Health Occupations
This course explores the health care system and a variety of health careers. It includes an overview of the health care delivery system, historical background, holistic health and cultural competencies. In addition, it explores educational requirments, employability skills and demands, ethical, legal and safety standards, salary ranges and future job prospects for a variety of health careers. The course concludes with a comparison of all of the careers introduced in terms of their future viability and approiateness for each student. May be offered through Distance Learning.
