CS 179 - Introduction to Computer Networks
Prerequisite: Basic computer literacy. An introduction to computer networks with emphasis on theory and concepts. Provides a general overview of the networking field as a basis for continued study. Topics include network protocols and topologies, local area network architectures, the client-server model and internetworking devices. Provides experience using a local area network. May be offered through Distance Learning.
