Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify and explain current data base models and their underlying advantages and disadvantages 2. Design a moderately complex database structure using Entity-Relationship diagrams 3. Use Normalization techniques for database design 4. Define and write database queries to extract data from multiple tables using SQL 5. Create database tables, and insert and update data into the tables using SQL 6.
