Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: 1. Analyze historical and contemporary scholarship on racial and ethnic inequality 2. Recognize how aspects of intersectionality impacts oppression in society 3. Examine individual and institutional power dynamics related to inequality 4. Evaluate existing internal biases and articulate how a variety of worldviews fit within a societal context 5. Work with diverse groups to complete shared tasks 6.
