Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Prepare speeches that include appropriate topics, clear and specific organization, and compelling evidence and support 2. Deliver speeches using ethical, appropriate and effective delivery techniques 3. Identify the characteristics of, and create different types of speeches, for example informative and persuasive 4. Develop and analyze arguments using ethos (credibility), pathos (emotion), and logos (logic) 5.
