Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to: 1. Integrate pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implement the treatment plan for the patient with an environmentally induced or exacerbated medical or traumatic condition. 2. Integrate pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implement a treatment plan for the patient with a toxic exposure. 3. Integrate the pathophysiological principles and the assessment findings to formulate and implement a treatment plan for the geriatric patient. 4. Apply a process of history taking, patient exam, clinical decision making and protocol compliance to develop a treatment plan for any of a number of medical or trauma related emergency scenarios. 5. Obtain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support and Pediatric Emergencies for the Prehospital Provider. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
