Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will: 1- Maintain, use, and expand skills and concepts learned in previous mathematics courses. 2- Perform operations with fractions and decimals. 3- Use unit analysis to convert units and solve problems. 4- Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of rational numbers. 5- Use and apply the concepts and language of algebraic expressions. 6- Use variables to construct algebraic expressions. 7- Evaluate algebraic expressions and simplify expressions using order of operations. 8- Simplify algebraic expressions by removing parentheses and combining like terms.
