Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. List, both orally and in writing, the distinguishing characteristics of the human dentition 2. Compare and contrast the anatomical landmarks of the primary and permanent teeth 3. Define dental anatomy terminology 4. Utilize the universal numbering system to identify dentition 5. Describe in writing the symptoms and treatment for TMJ disorder 6. Describe in writing the taste sensations of the tongue 7. Show an awareness of the differences of the maxillary and mandibular teeth and their location in the mouth 8. Name the bones and major muscles and nerves of the head and neck 9.
