Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to: 1. Illustrate and identify the development and principles of fuel systems components, carburetion, emission control systems, fuels, and electronic engine controls as related to the internal combustion engine. 2. Identify the critical importance of the fuel delivery system, in terms of performance and economy as related to the internal combustion engine. 3. Demonstrate the use of the test equipment and techniques required to diagnose fuel system troubles, leading to the manipulative skills required to perform necessary repairs as a result of the diagnosis. 4. Demonstrate good craftsmanship. 5. Select and use applicable service manuals and reference material when diagnosing and making repairs to fuel systems. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
