Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand the functions of and differences between various internetworking devices 2. Configure routers to support local area and wide area networking 3. Understand and use the command-line oriented internetwork operating system (IOS) 4. Understand the fundamentals of network transmissions through the use of protocol analysis software 5. Identify the types and functions of the various routing protocols 6. Install switches and configure virtual local area networks (VLANs) 7. Identify problems that can be solved using internetworking components 8.
