CS 276 - Database SQL Programming
Associated Term: Fall 2015
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Identify the differences between using sub-queries and joins and prepare SQL queries involving correlated and non-correlated sub-queries, outer joins, inner joins, and self joins 2. Utilize built-in functions successfully 3. Create SQL queries that order and group data 4. Create and maintain relational database objects using SQL commands 5. Describe the issues of transaction management, data integrity, validity checking, and cascaded deletes 6. Produce programs with SQL procedural extensions and explain the concept of embedded SQL 7. Create and test programs with exceptional handling blocks.
