HS 171 - Tradition Health Care Worker
Associated Term: Fall 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, a student will: 1-List the regulations and services offered by the various components of the healthcare system serving Oregonians 2-Identify the competencies required and scope of practice in emerging, non-traditional healthcare roles (or traditional) 3-Demonstrate relationship building, helping and coaching skills to assist individuals in accessing and effectively utilizing primary and behavioral healthcare settings 4-Demonstrate advocacy, system navigation and community outreach skills 5-Develop knowledge of legal and ethical responsibilities and practices in a multicultural context 6-Develop cultural competencies and skills in bridging cross cultures including clinical and community culture 7-Develop a self-care plan 8-Develop an understanding of case management and care coordination skills
