HRTM 260 - Hospitality Human Resources and Supervision
Associated Term: Fall 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Identify fundamental supervisory principles. 2. Explain the steps that supervisors can take to communicate effectively on the job. 3. Identify the components of a progressive disciplinary program. 4. Understand how to deal with conflict in the workplace 5. Describe actions supervisors can take to minimize employee resistance to change. 6. Explain why it is important for supervisors to take control of their personal development, and describe how to execute a career development plan. 7. Develop a training program for a restaurant/hotel department.
