D 256 - Body Fundamental/Body as Knowledge
Associated Term: Fall 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, student should be able to: 1. Discuss, demonstrate and identify Developmental Patterns. 2. Discuss, demonstrate and identify Bartenieff Fundamentals. 3. Demonstrate and identify dimensional and planal movement. 4. Demonstrate and identify proximal and distal initiation of movement. 5. Identify muscles as flexors, extensors, rotators, abductors, and adductors. 6. Discuss and identify bones and related features of the skeletal system. 7. Use touch, movement, imagination, and insightful information to explore and advance movement potential. 8. Discuss elements of Body Mind Centering such as the body systems. 9. Live more fully and consciously in their bodies.
