CS 271 - Computer Architecture and Assembly Language
Associated Term: Fall 2014
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand the fundamentals of digital computer design at the hardware architecture level 2. Understand the relationship between the hardware architecture and the software (assembly language) of digital computers 3. Have a familiarity with the software tools used at this level of programming (assemblers, linkers, loaders) 4. Write elementary programs in an assembly language, compile and run them 5. Have improved skills in software design and development, especially in decomposition, modularization and debugging at a low level 6. Understand the advantages and disadvantages of programming at the assembly language level
